Carbophobia: The Scary Truth about America's Low-Carb Craze

the author of" Carbophobia" is prominent vegan and animal rights advocate Michael Greger, M.D:
Michael Greger, M.D is an American physician, author, vegan and professional speaker. He is currently the Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Humane Society of the United States. His books include Bird Flu: A Virus of Our Own Hatching and Carbophobia: The Scary Truth Behind America's Low Carb Craze.[1]  Dr. Greger is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and the Tufts University School of Medicine.  He became vegan in 1990.[2] Greger has paid tribute to Dean Ornish's landmark Lifestyle Heart Trial published in 1990 which showed that heart disease could not only be slowed down, but actually reversed with a plant-based diet.[3]  He appeared as an expert witness to testify about mad-cow disease when Cattle producers sued Oprah Winfrey for libel.[4]   ##  The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), based in Washington, D.C., is the largest animal advocacy organization in the world. With assets of over US$160 million[2],, it was founded in 1954 with a view to addressing among other things animal cruelty in factory farming.
